Fadna Valentines Campaign (සඳත් එක්ක ආදරෙන්)

Influencing the lives of common people is widely and fastly done using social media platforms. Using social media for affecting people and their lives is one of the modern and best methods to perform a specific task. Therefore, social media platforms were used to inform the public, especially the male citizens of Sri Lanka about a common problem for women; periods.

Therefore, social media platforms were used to inform the public, especially the male citizens of Sri Lanka about a common problem for women; periods. 

Challenge

To promote fadna ezytea as a tea that relieves period pain as a valentines day special gift pack.

Insights

During periods, the physical and emotional condition of women change. There are not enough solutions available for these pains and cramps that happen during periods for women. On the other hand, women do not tend to use such kinds of medication due to fear of addiction and side effects. 

How did it happen?

Fadna introduced a special tea, EzyTea, for women to relieve period pain and cramps that happen this time. This is a herbal tea that can be used to relieve pain and control stress and as this tea is made with natural ingredients there is no risk of addiction.

To deliver this message, a campaign was done targeting VALENTINE’S DAY motivating lovers/boyfriends to gift a FADNA GIFT PACK with EZYTEA. The title of the campaign was “Sandath Ekka Adaren” (Love with Moon) as the cycle of the moon was used to indicate the period cycle of women. The days of the lives of women are as colorful as the moon, but just like the NEW MOON, there are days of the month that darken the lives of women. During those days, the support from their partners added so much value to them.

A viral video was made to socialize this idea on social media and also to promote the Online Valentines’ Gift Pack from Fadna which consisted of a pillow, EzyTea, and Chocolates. From the buyers, we selected a couple and offered them a candlelight dinner at a hotel.

Two influencer videos were made with Sachini Nipunsala and her husband, Isuru Randeniya.
